  • T & M tomato offer won't work on their website-anyone else tried it?

Yesterday my husband saw an offer in the Daily Mail for "sweet aperitif" tomato plant plugs from T & M.

    5 for £3.99
    or
    10 for £6.99
    with free postage.

you can order by post, phone or on their website with an order code to get the reduced price.

I refused to order them on principal as ever since their lousy customer service in relation to sweet potato slips a few years ago I refuse to do business with them at all and don't even buy their seeds.

But my husband nattered and nattered and reminded me that my tomato seedlings were not doing very well so in the end I agreed that he could order them if he wanted to.

The trouble is when you put the order code in the website you get the free postage but the plugs come up at a ridiculous price. Just wondered if anyone else had tried to order them from the website. Husband can't order them by 'phone as he is deaf and I'm not giving in.

if you won't contact them, I don't know what to suggest. I'd say get Hubs to email them, but they don't seem to answer emails.

        I give up!

It's down to hubby on his own now if he wants them.

They'd probably dead when they arrived anyway.

Yep tried it a fortnight ago no joy as usual.

Gave up and ordered some seed from Premier seeds paid 80p for next day delivery. Now have 10 seedlings about 2" high, 10 seeds left for next year. Total cost less than £2.

I too had a go at ordering these toms online but I was having the same problems as above, so I had a little spoach online and found radio times gardening offering 6 of the sweet aperitif plug plants for £3, supplied by T&M. I was unsure whether to order them or not but as I've been very lazy when it comes to sowing this year and have no tomatoes at all, I thought what the heck. I used a credit card for security because i wasn't sure of the company and I had never used that website before. The £3 payment came off my card within a day or two of ordering and my plants arrived today looking good and very healthy about 2 weeks max after ordering. T&M can get it right sometimes! If someone wants to post a link to the offer please do so, I'm not clever enough unfortunately.
