| Really, sweet potatoes do best grown under cover or at the very least when any threat of frost has passed. They are tender. If you have last months GYO i think there's an article in there about growing them. I'll see if i can find a link for you.

| Iv'e got one growing. Scrubbed it well to remove any germinating inhibitor and the put it in water until I could see evidence of roots. When I could I put it in a pot of damp compost and now I have 4 or 5 tiny shoots appearing. As per the advice on other threads I will wait until they are 2 ins long and then cut them off and root them prior to planting out on June under a cloche. Here's hoping
