First trip down the allotment today since the gales we had here on Sunday night...
Sunflowers are gone. Well, one snapped at the base and a couple of others actually gone. Can't see them anywhere. A couple of Jerusalem artichokes have been unearthed prematurely as the stems got flattened in the wind. That's ok as the tubers are a really good size and we can have them tomorrow.
My globe artichokes look a bit ragged. A lot of leaves torn. Courgettes have been snapped at the stem. They were near the end anyway and I still got four decent fruit from them today. Lost two kale plants as they snapped at the base too. Raspberries with fruit still to ripen have mostly snapped off.
All else ok. Pumpkins still ripening. Chard still there (as I'm sure it will be after the apocalypse), root veg fine. Most brassicas ok.
Finally, lost the lid of my Dalek.
