My 'Crown Prince' squashes are getting enormous. I counted over a dozen squashes forming on one. Should I remove some, & if so do I cut the whole runner off beyond the last squash I keep, or let it continue its quest for world domination and just remove the little squashes?

You can cut the runner to the length you want it Glaurung or wind it round in a circle to save space.

it's not one runner - it's about 8. The biggest one is wild! How many squashes do you think I should let it develop? It's got at least a dozen of various sizes on it at the moment.Comment

If you take it back to one fruit you will end up with something weighing a 100 lb, you will take a few slices off it to make soup and end up throwing the rest away, if you let the beast run and produce lots of fruit they will be of a more manageable size you can dry them and store them using them at your leisure, as Alice said you can wind the runner round to save space I just let mine run and they criss cross its a bit like xmas when the vine dies down and you start finding fruit all over the place.Comment

Mine are just starting to romp away but as yet I don't have any fruit. Have had plenty of courgettes.
