    how do i stop slugs from munching on my spuds all ideas are welcome but i dont want to nuke the ground unless i have to

    Try nematodes. There are some that specifically eat slugs - from the inside (Like the slugs do on your potatoes.)

      It's too late this year but next year you can look for varieties that are more resistant to slugs like desiree foe example.
      Imagination is everything, it is a preview of what is to become.

        I used nematodes this year and so far the spuds harvested have been fine.

          Eel worm seems to do more damage to my potatoes than slugs followed by some sort of rodent and then the slugs and I'm left with what is left, which sometimes isn't a lot. The thing is though that I have never seen one of the eel worms just the damage.
