  • Sprouts question?

Well I think they are sporuts the leaves are about 2ft high now. Anyway the problem is when they were younger they were a tad leggy and with the wind bashing they have all bent over and started to grow back up, so the stalk comes out of the ground then bends along the ground for about an inch then grows upwards. Will this be a problem later when they grow bigger(stems are about an inch thick now)?

    Cheers

Well at least i'm not alone on this, they are really strong stems now so I can imagine it would be hard to iron out the kinks.

No problem..................If they grow tall enough, when you've finished harvesting the sprouts you can dry the stem and make a walking stick!

You can actually buy walking stick kale which is ideal for this purpose (and the chooks love it)
