  • Sprouts Bolting

    Hi All,

I love sprouts, can't get enough. Last year only the 6 in the poly produced. Those outside succumbed to cabbage root fly. This year I have 9 in the poly and about a dozen outside. All seamed to be doing OK, those in the poly just started to show signs of sprouts forming.

Alas, some of those outside have started to bolt .
    What should I do?
Why have only those outside bolt?

    All advice, surgestions greatfully received.

It's the weather DD. My calabrese went to seed ages ago. I'm hoping I've saved the sprouts by cutting off the bits going to flower, applying sulphate of ammonia around the plants and mulching with grass clippings. Fingers crossed.

      Thanks FF.
It seams, from other thread, that I'm not alone. I do hope it isn't the weather, as it hasn't been that bad for up here. Colder that last year, yes but drier also. Certainly nowhere near as wet as most places south has been.

I will just have to hope next year is better.
