  • Sprout leaves

I have been told to remove the lower leaves on my sprouts. Is this a good idea and whaat are the benefits of doing so?

The leaves yellow and die off and fungus may grow on them which could then get on the sprouts. It also improves air circulation to stop damp areas which could also encourage rot/fungus.

As Capsid says. You should remove all brassica leaves if they turn yellow. Don't pick off healthy green leaves, the plant needs them to photosynthesise.
