  • Spring Onion Deedling Tips Going Yellow?

    Hi,

I am growing spring onions seedlings.

The tips have started to turn yellow.

Do they need nutrients or could you tell me why they are turning yellow?

It depends how small they are when going yellow. A few of mine are beginning to turn at the tip - but they are being eaten (by us!) so they're quite mature. At a guess I'd say it might be lack of water (yes, I know it's been tipping down everywhere - but were they dry earlier in the season?)
They don't usually suffer from lack of nutrients but it wouldn't hurt to water with a general purpose - seaweed extract for instance.
