    spinach

    im growing some spinach and it looks like it needs re potting now, can i re pot it in a long planter because i have no ground to put it in.

    and also im growing leaf salad and that needs re potting to can i do the same with that too?

    i have the packet and it says "take the first "clipping" with sciccors 14-20 days from sowing" what does that mean?

    it means start cutting as its probably cut and come again....

    I have my spinach and salad leaves in window boxes

      Make sure you keep them well watered - if they get dry they are much more likely to bolt (to flower and run to seed)

        I hate spinach so this year I'm growing swiss chard which is similar but much nicer and a very quick cropper. If you get the rainbow variety it also looks pretty!

          where can you get swiss chard from????? do you have to get it from proper garderning shops?
