  • Sowing Swede

I've never tried growing swede before and the advice on the packet is the same as for parsnip as in sew direct and don't transplant.

A lot of us sew our parsnips in loo rolls and I was wondering if you can do the same with swede or is it better to sew direct?

OH is in love with swede and potato mash!

I've always sown swede in modules or half loo rolls with no probs up to press.

Yep. Need to find some good recipes for winter veg as OH is in love with a particular brown pickle too!

                  It's ok. It's a popular mistake.

I think I need Wallace & Gromit on the case.

I found a new use for my jam funnel too. It fits in the top of the loo rolls a treat to feed the soil in.
