  • Sowing Beetroots in the green house now??

Is it too late? Ive got a big polly house which gets a lot of sunshine.

Could I get away with planting a batch of sausage beets in the free space I have?

If you get them to germinate they're not going to grow much so you might as well wait till next spring. There's always onions, garlic, shallots if you have some space that you want to fill. My overwintered onion sets, planted in early October now have shoots 3-4 inches long but beetroot sown in August are no bigger than marbles.
