Has anyone tried the smoke bombs they sell on eBay, to disinfect their greenhouse?

    If so, do they work?

I think a lot of the problems affecting indoor plants are fungal related rather than pests. If the greenhouse is washed with Armillatox it should kill the fungal spores and the pests!

Guess they'd be the same as flea smoke bombs that also...don't work... they will kill mature flyers (flys)thou

Its that long ago since I used a smoke bomb in the greenhouse (and even longer since I used a stink bomb in the newsagents!) that from memory, it was a bit of an anti climax on both accounts and didn't do much good at all.

I use "Flowers of Sulphur". About a good tablespoon on a metal tin and light it, it glows orange. Get out of the greenhouse and leave it of a day before going back.

I went ahead and bought a Sulpher bomb from B&Q for 4.99, and, although it didnt produce the ammount of dense smoke I was expecting, the GH does seem insect and moss free. One thing it did do was to identify a few leaks I had in the GH
