  • Small polythene bags for chilies and others

I was potting up some chilies at weekend but ran out of pots.
In the back of shed I found some old small black polythene plant bags.
I think I got them at Lakeland plastics years ago, I don't think they do them now.
The are about the size of a coke can, not as tall though.
I used to get loads for next to nothing.
I can only see large ones on the net.
Anyone still use them or know of a supplier (cheap!)

    Thanks
    Jimmy

I got some from a well known auction site last year. I think they were half litre or 500ml size. Bought some for bedding plants we were selling at the school summer Fayre.

      500ml too big.
Mine are about the size of those vending machine plastic cups.
Perfect for transplanting and growing on till they need a final pot.
Saying that I think the pound shops sell the cups.
      Will try some.

I'm sure the auction site will have smaller ones!

Just looked up, a certain soft drink is sold in 330ml cans. Never drink it so thought 500ml not a bad guess.

My tired old brain finally popped up with the word "polypots", after which a quick goggle turned up this site: polypots

              Polypots , yes that's them.
Not sure I want to pay £16.00 though !
They have them on ebay but can't find the 0.25l ones.
0.5l is smallest I can see but these are too big for me.
Anyway thanks, I now know the name to search for.

Wife spotted some plastic party drinking cups in the pound shop.
50 or more for a pound.
Excellent small pots with a hole punched in the bottom.
I usually use them for spares that get give away to my neighbours.
