  • Size of container for iceberg lettuces

I have some morrisons flower buckets. Are they big enough for 1 or 2 icebergs. or maybe none?

Lettuce aren't deep rooting, so wouldn't need anything as deep as a Morrisons flower bucket.

I bet they're good in those troughs that look as though they ought to be window boxes Rob, IYKWIM. You could get 3 decent size or 4 smaller ones I would guess and you should have good control over the slugs. Mmm, might try iceberg myself, I only grow CACA!

            Rob,

I use troughs 6" x 6" x 20" four or five to the trough, with successional planting its works for me.

I grow individual lettuces in six or eight-inch pots. You just need to remember to keep them well watered or they're liable to bolt.
