  • silly pea question

Very excited - some of my peas are looking ready for harvest - the pods have puffed out nicely. I have no idea whether they will grow again once I have picked the first lot - like with beans the more you pick the more you get - or do I just get one lot of peas?

    Hope its lots!
    thanks

They usually develop at different speeds and there should be flowers still appearing while some have made pods already. I find they don't last as long as beans though.

      Good news then - thanks!
I will pick the fattest ones this evening and leave the others a bit longer. There are still loads of flowers coming so fingers crossed will get more throughout the summer

If you still have flowers forming, then you should get more peas.

          Great thanks.
Just picked the first lot ready to cook now - and had to stop myself eating them all before they even made it through the kitchen door! They are really sweet and yummy

Mine podded & went over in a fortnight: it's a short season, unless you can succession sow (I've just popped some more in now)
