  • Seed sowing..Somebody Stop Me!!!!!!

Okay, don't think I'm well...out of control seed sowing has happened today and I need someone to stop me
In Autumn last year I promised myself I would restrict the varieties I would grow this year, particularly as I only have a small garden...and today I have sown:
    3 varieties of aubergines
    7 varieties of peppers

and wait for it....11 varieties of toms (sor far) I plan a second sowing next month!!

Does anyone know of a seed sowers anonymous?

I think you'll find it in roughly the same place as Vine Addicts Anonymous, SR! Maybe you are having a triumph of optimism over realism thing? Or else you are going to be the new best friend of some happy growers when you give away half as you haven't the space!!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Best way to stop sowing is....

....go and buy some different varieties!!! ( well- that'll stop you for a few hours!)

ok- so you could make a sowing diary.
piccies of what you have sown and when and what in etc etc ...and any comments re their progress over the next few months until cropping.
It'd be interesting to look back on the year!
That'd fill in a few hours!!!!

I've got a similar problem, but on a smaller scale (see novice planting advice thread) and I am moving home soon and don't know whether I'll even have a window box, never mind a garden!

My glass is always half full, as are my window sills currently.

Our lass has just rung to rhyme off a load of stuff that Wilkinson's have added to their shelves since we were in last night.

They have seed potatoes planting asparagus, mushrooms and onions.

Oh dear, but I'm trying to restrict myself to some Maris Piper seed potatoes.

Cheers Andrea, I knew the voice of reason would come in sooner or later

I'm afraid I have to implicate you to a certain degree cos some of the tom seeds are ones you sent me last year...nothing like sharing the responsibility eh?

I can't talk - I just got back from Wilkos and a nursery with one big bag of white onion sets, a bigger bag of red onion sets, 7kg of Kestrel seed pots, 7kg of Amorosa seed pots and 20 more Amorosa seed pots for my lottie neighbours.

                            Now, roll on spring!!!

I am liking this plan. I am prepared to make myself available to take half your toms SR. Just as soon as can get the car off the drive
