  • Seed mix up?

Has anyone bought seed that doesnt match what it should be?I have savoy cabbage that looks suspiciously like sprouts. From the same seed packet, some are definately savoy but i planted some in concrete troughs and they are growing like sprouts no purply colour like the others.I'm not complaining as i dont think i planted enough sprouts in the first place.Aah,she muddled the seed herself?Nope, i cheated and bought the sprouts as plants ,dont have sprout seed at all.Anyone else had this?

no, but when i planted my first lot of seeds, i never thought to label them thinking i'd remember what they were .. (why i thought that, i have no idea, most of the time i don't even know what day it is).... so now i have lots of sprouting things, that are going to be surprise veggies ..... it would be useful to know what they are though, cos then i could identify which ones are weeds lol

I'm waiting to see the colour of some petunia plants I bought from T&M, (not veg I know, but in the same vein). I love the purple ones, which is what I ordered, but the first plant to flower is white. I'm just waiting for some more, before I send pics to T&M to complain. Not the first time I've had issues with plants from them, but as I'd never had probs with seeds, I thought I'd give them a second chance
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

One of my Gardeners Delight tomatoes clearly isn't a tomato, have no idea what it is but there's no way it's a tom - looked a bit like one of the tomatillos but it isn't one of them either and I only sowed tomatoes and tomatillos that day. Whatever it is, it must have a seed that looks like a tomato or chilli as otherwise I'd have noticed. Fortunatly I got 100% germination so it wasn't a problem and I've not bothered complaining.

Actually, I did keep meaning to take a photo to see if anybody knew but never got around to it.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
