    Is it safe?.....

    I have built up a bond with my seedlings, have sacrificed some if them to the frost, and am now deciding whether to throw the rest to the elements or risk them withering in the heat of the greenhouse...

    Have purchased a roll of fleece, and will throw caution to the wind! Fingers crossed! Tomorrow will plant out asters, sweet williams, cosmos and marigolds. May the force be with me!!!
    There is no dress rehearsal for life. Not many second chances. Make the most of every day and spend as much of it as you can creating little moments of happiness!

    As far as I can see, there's no foreseeable frost or even cold nights forecast. Planted out my sweetcorn and courgettes yesterday !!!!

        I have already transplanted some runner beans as there is lots of rain forecast for the next week and warmish nights so they should romp away. I will cover them if frost is due.
        I have bedding plants hardening off but will wait until the heavy rain has gone before planting out.

          Yes, for Buckinghamshire you should be well clear of the frost risk by now.

          Time to get planting ....

              You're so lucky to have such an early last frost date. I think it's 18th May here so I haven't even sown my courgettes or corn yet.

                  I feel your pain Ananke - as an ex-Paisley boy now staying down in Hull, I do have a chuckle sometimes when watching the Weather reports on the telly and seeing what my family have to contend with.

                  Even from East Yorkshire, I do have an envious streak for those that further south.

                    The forecasts are very confused at the moment, and next week looks as though it could get quite cold, even down south. While the majority of the model runs then increase the temperature towards the end of next week, some of the runs actually send it colder. If they are correct and the upper air hits the -5 isotherm, frost is by no means impossible even in London:
