    how many of you remember the Victorian kitchen Garden, flower garden and Kitch programs from the lat 80's early 90's? well if you remember Chilton gardens and how they restored it to run it as a proper walled garden, well prepare yourself for a shock...



    the sort of triangular bit was the veg gardens and you can just make out the outline of where the greenhouses and cold frames went ... Sad, sad times ... this is how it used to look

      So much work went into the restoration of those gardens - and the TV programmes were so enjoyable.
      Sad to see them uncultivated

        I still read the books intact I think it was Nicos who came across the wartime one in a charity shop and sent it too me about 7 or 8 years ago

          I have them too, NTG. Harry and Ruth seemed to be normal people, doing their jobs, none of this superstar business that most "gardeners" on the box seem to think they are these days!

            If I won the lottery if buy a wall garden and live the dream!

            In all honesty I dont think it looks that bad? yes its uncultivated which is a shame but its neat and tidy, atleast its not be turned into a car park or a bloody supermarket
