Talking Ryton Gardens, Coventry - Potato Day

Garden Organic's annual Potato Day is this weekend.

We have seed potatoes, the shop has garlic, onions, peas, broadies etc all waiting to be bagged and taken home. The Cafe is open again and there is a potato based menu. HSL and the Sowing New Seeds project will be there, and you will be able to swap your seeds and take some rare Heritage varieties home with you.

I'll be there on the Saturday in the Kids area, so if any Grapes pop by - do come and say hello.

Members - free entry on the Saturday [their guests pay the normal admission charges] and anyone can come on the Sunday - members obviously get free entry...

They have changed the location of the marquee, it is now in the middle grassed area rather than being by the orchard.

Potato Day - Forthcoming event in association with Garden Organic

I hope some Grapes do pop in to say hello; esp if I've not met you before. I'll be the frazzled one holding a wet potato print probably....

I am coming!! Me, my OH, my Dad and my stepmother. We are all really looking forward to it (and have bagged ourselves some seats in the restaurant Big feast, looking at the menu).

My Dad could only travel up on the Sunday though so unfortunately we wont see you on the Saturday which is a shame as it would have been nice to see you there. Good luck for the day, hope you can put your feet up with a nice tipple afterwards.

Is the seed swap only for people with HSL membership and is it only on the Saturday?

The seed swap is for everyone there; and it is both days....

Plus there's tours of HSL if you stand in the right place at the right time....
