Pictures would be helpful, leaf damage could be caused by wind but it's hard to tell unless you can be more specific

I do pull the leaves off as soon as I see any brown in case its something that will spread I'll wait a few days to take a Pic
the leaves start to go brown round the edges then the leaf dries out, when I handle them they break up
It has been a bit windy around here but not excessive plus the trough is quite close to a wall

In my opinion you are feeding them too much.

Once the flowers have set and you see your first beans then feed them with tomato feed, once a week should be enough. Good luck

My beans are very exposed in my windy garden and the leaves are very healthy

I never feed any plants till the 'fruit pods' appears but flowers are now falling off and leaving nothing but a little stalk which is not fruit.

You mentioned that you have been feeding them Phostrogen 2-3 times a week. Why so often?

Another way to help is to spray the flowers with water in the evening to help the beans to set.

Brown around the edges suggests wind drying them out. Try setting up some sort of mulch on top of the trough to maintain a moist root system. I wouldn't worry to much as long as the plant keeps producing flowers and beans.

A number of different ways, but I find this the simplist:
                    • Take a photo and save it on your desktop
                    • Open a message (or reply)
                    • Click on the paperclip button on the top row
                    • Another dialogue box opens and if you click 'browse' next to the first of the boxes (marked 'upload from your computer') then click desktop, then on the photo you want
                    • click upload
takes ages, then close that window and the pic will be in your reply.

Another tip, when you have the pics on you pc in your 'pictures', always label them so when you use PB you can find them easier.

                            Can you enlarge them?, sorry
