hello, can anyone tell me if runner beans like lime added to the soil, your help would be much appreciated

Howdy Almonds - yes indeedy runner beans like lime.
I add lime in winter to the bed that will be beans and peas, in accordance with John Seymour, Self sufficency guru - then when the peas/beans are over at the end of summer, the brassicas get plonked in from their pots, and they benefit from the residual lime too. -

You really should do a soil test before you start adding anything like lime. Some soils may not need any. By the way why did you dip your winter onions in lime?Comment
