Never grown them as I prefer to eat either cauliflower or brocolli and I think that these fall a bit between the two without the distinctive taste of either but they are very pretty.

I tried to grow them last year. They never got to the table tho. The stalk grew so tall I began to wonder when the head was going to form. If I looked very carefully it was there but deformed/brown in parts and did not look very appetising. Anyway what do I know?
Hope you have success with them.

You can buy Romanesco in the shops! Why not buy some, cook it and see if you like it before growing it?
I did this and decided not to grow it!

I have to agree - it's delicious and so beautiful! I have grown these for two years now and they are really easy. The only problem is that they all come at once. Must try successional growing!

Don't love them or hate them just think they're rather ordinary.
