Planted Rocket few weeks ago, now it's really badly eaten, looks lacey, not slugs, cos I put some pellets down, not very appetising, any ideas? Will sow some more, in different place, it's currently growing right next to lavender.

Not sure what's eating it but I've had some nibbles out of mine and done other plants so I made my own pest spray out if lemon chilli garlic and viniger sprayed all around my plants and beds and haven't had a problem since

Mine always suffers from flea beetles on the plot - they put tiny dots all over the older leaves. Still tastes ok

Come to think of it - as a brassica it may have the odd caterpillar on it?

If it just small holes look carefully and you will find small black beetles which jump of you try and touch them, flea beetles! I've yet to find an answer.

Suppose I'll sow more, and then spray with something like you say.

I was getting the same on my rocket leaves. So I cover my rocket with some fleece and keep them well watered. Works for me!

Leave it be. Rocket's really resilient and will just get stronger as it establishes itself.
