What space size are each seedling in your medium pot?

I have two 2 litre pots with 3 seedlings in each that are doing very well
Want to move to 40 litre pots but unsure how to manage them are repotting

This year I tried Rhubarb from seed myself, I used a 50% high peat soil and 50% vermiculite and planted them out in 2 x large seed trays.

Once they germinated I spooned them out one by one and planted up in separate pots I'd say 2-3 litres pots which I used 50% multi purpose compost and 50% well rotted horse manure.

I have around 40-50 of them in the corner of the garden thriving really well much better than anticipated, I'm going to be leaving them to it now for at least 1 season.

I'm going to be leaving mine to it as I believe rhubarb from seed can take up to 3 years to get to a stage where it produces enough you can start harvesting without impacting the growth of the plant.

Rhubarb love horse manure so try placing a layer on the top soil for nutrients to go down into the soil when you water. I'll tyr post a picture of mine for you tomorrow.

I have red early grown from seed and at three years I have just harvested, however it has been uprooted and moved twice. Like Insy I would say get each one in a 2-3 litre pot. I wouldn't worry about horsey pooh until they are established. Good Luck
