It's rained once in Hull in 3 weeks. Fortunately that was the one day I could't get to my garden to water it.

Someone up there likes my gardening efforts!

we've certainly had our share previously though haven't we olliemartin!

even though it looks very dry on top, when planting out today it seemed dampish just below the surface.

It started raining cats & dogs here at 1pm - by the time it slackened off at about 7pm, there was 5" of water in a previously empty bucket that I'd left outside.

No rain here for almost a week now, its looked like it was gonna chuck it down a few times, but nothing as yet! Hope it rains today as we're off to Hull to see his folks and possibly collect a honeybee colony thats taken up residence in their loft!

It was cats and dogs here with thunder for over an hour, huge drops too, but....... everything is still standing - thank god - and only one of my drying onions escaped the bin bags I'd put over them for this weekend

It's not rained here for ages; I can't remember when, it must be weeks. It's lovely and sunny again today. It seems churlish to complain about that but we really need some rain on the garden!

We've had a few sprinklings, seem to get a short sharp downpour and then nowt for ages. Waterbutts haven't dried up yet so can still water stuff in at the lottie.

The rain we have been promised here on the west coast of Scotland recently has not materialised. We just get cloud in abundance, which does nothing any good except the midges. Now it seems we are not going to have the heatwave after all, which is a mercy, but still only a dribble of rain.
