  • Rain, rain, glorious rain

Finally, after weeks of broken promises (from the weathermen) and rain dances (that would be me ), we finally have heavy, sustained rain!

    What joy!

    What a relief

    What happy plants

Oh, we've had the odd heavy downpour but no proper rain. The well and the pond have both been at their lowest levels for years but at last, it's here and it's been here ALL night and it's here for the rest of the day, apparently. Yay!!!!!

It's not stopped here! I'm waiting to continue clearing my plot - which is difficult when the ground is so wet!

Lots of lovely rain here. We are in an area where the rain is usually just about dying out by the time it reaches us but this time, we're having propper rain, bouncing off the pavement rain, filling the water butts and gurgling in the grids rain! Lovely!

I was going to plant out my heritage beans (Fabes de la Granja Asturaiana - and you need a good feed of beans after pronouncing that!) but they'll wait.

I've loads waiting to go out and I had planned to do it today, but it's raining too much for that. Shouldn't moan, but I'm back at work tomorrow.

We have just got a scotch mist down here which is just a dust settler and is doing no good on the parched ground.
