    Radish recommendations please.

    Good afternoon all.

    I like radishes. Grew loads last year, almost every one of which was consumed in the garden.

    I like the value ones from B&Q, as they're a nice assortment, but wondered if any of you can recommend a favourite variety?

    I like big radishes, the hotter and pepperier the better.

    Edit: Main thing is taste. If I've got to grow a million weeny ones, that's ok.

          I can't recommend any to eat; but I grow Crimson Giant and Chinese as a Seed Guardian for the HSL.

                I do get some French Breakfast mixed in with the B&Q value mix. They are nice. Lord only knows what the others in there are.

                    Thought you might be interested in a couple of pics I took today my radish line is now in full production.

                    First pic left to right seed set today, 3 weeks old , 6 weeks old and 8/9 weeks old.

                    Second pic keep em close for more radish.

                    Third pick the result.

                    You may guess I love radish.

                      Looking good.

                      This is the first year I've tried growing them in the ground (on top of the spuds, as per Gardener's World). I don't really know why, but I think the ones in tubs will be better.
