  • problems with cucamelons

    I planted some cucamelon seeds a few weeks ago and am having problems with them they grow to less than an inch then die is there any tips I can use to do them right cheers.
    When you have a hammer in your hand everything around you starts looking like a nail.

    Is the compost too wet or dry? Are they falling over? Are they outside or inside on windowsill? It's really hard to know the cause without knowing how you've been growing them,but if they're watered every day,the compost might be too wet & maybe water from below,so the stem doesn't get soaked?

      They are in the greenhouse and I have been watering them everyday will let them dry out and water from below thanks.

        I do mine every other day or 3 days,I sit all my pots in water for about 5 or 10 minutes,also this helps to avoid getting fungus gnats. They lay eggs in the top of the wet compost,I haven't had any gnats this year,last year I had loads.
