Problem with tomato leaves

    Problem with tomato leaves

    I have 2 bought plants , both tomatoberry which now have the odd leaf gone odd, I thought sun was the cause as at top of their canes now.
    No other plants have this though.
    Any thoughts please?

    It looks like sun scorch/leaf burn. Perhaps the roots haven't developed well or you haven't watered that one well enough. The leaves have hot dehydrated and burnt as a result.

      Ok thanks, dunno ..all watered exactly the same , maybe they weren't that strong a plant , rest all done from seeds.
      Shall I cut the leaves off or leave them? I've got toms but not ripe yet.

        As Scarlet said, sunscorch. 2 of mine went the same way. Too near the glass and sun damage.

          Have you fed them with a high potassium feed or a tomato feed ever? Don't remove the leaves they're not diseased.
          Edit to add; It looks a bit like potassium deficiency.....

            As others have said I think its sunscorch. The problem with comparing two plants is that there micro climate conditions are not the same, distance to side of the greenhouse etc.. I would trim off the leaves because as they are damaged they are open to other problems.

              They've all (20+ Different varieties) plants been fed the same tomato food, watered the same.
              I will just keep an eye and hope they ripen soon so I can shift the plants out.

                As Mark has said you can't really compare plants, even if grown side by side in the GH one will always do much better than its neighbour. Some are shaded more than others, some get more of the watering can. I find that the plants that have often struggled with sun scorch/or gets a little floppy in the afternoon is usually the plant that has much smaller root formation. When you get rid of them, check out the root ball -I think you'll find that there are a little small
