  • Poundw*rld have garden stuff in

That's Poundw*rld not Poundl*nd (I haven't been in there yet). They have Onion sets - Stuttgarter, red barron, Shensu yellow and a white one called Snowball - either 200g or 250g for £1.
Also seed multi packs - 6 varieties in a pack, both flowers and veg e.g. hanging basket collection, spicy salad collection, for £1.
Variety of tuberous flowers e.g dahlias, lupins, irises, hostas for £1 for between 3 and 15 tubers depending on the variety.

I bought the onions and seed potatoes (not in yet) last year and they did OK. I've had mixed results with bagged plants before but at £1 I'm prepared to take the risk.

Ooh, I can feel a weekend poundshopping coming on...
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

I'm told Poundland in town had seed pot's this weekend. Poundland (same chain) in the out of town didn't.

8 seeds for a pound. Thats far cheaper than I can get them elsewhere... ...not a great choice of species but then I bought some of those fancy Alberts from Wilko last year and they were not too fab.

Had onions from them last year and they did fine.

      Strawberries died though last year.

I went in poundland on Tuesday and they had loads of gardening bits in. I picked up a tayberry bush for £1 (obviously) and a few other bits and pieces

I've never had them before but my daughter loves all different fruit so thought I'd give them a try
