Harvested one sack of my potatoes today - they were great - had furtled and there was nothing, but there was loads down the bottom of the sack. Got 2 more sacks to go although might leave it a bit longer. Not bad for the first time!

Brilliant Dianne. What variety are they and when did you sow them?
I'm impatiently wondering about my Charlotte potatoes also growing in a sack.
Planted on 23rd March, I picked the flower buds off them about 2-3 weeks ago, and I think they are starting to wilt now. Every other day I'm tempted to tip them out, but the leaves haven't turned yellow yet so I think I'll wait a little while too.

A handy hint I got from our local Garden "Guru" ....(Mr Joe Maiden on Radio Leeds)...was to slide the contents of a bag/container out carefully.

You can then harvest the bigger spuds from the outside, then put the rest back into the bag/container to carry on growing!

TBH cannot remember the actual variety although I do know they were some kind of earlies planted in February Onefivenine.
