I planted my earlies in end feb beginning march indoors ..... I moved them outside mid may... the leaves have gone totally yellow on 2 of them so I had a little rummage but cannot feel anything.... I found a few pea size ones .... do I need to leave them longer ?

I think we can presume they are in containers in compost. You would need to start feeding them about week 6 and keep well watered as the tubers form.
