  • Potatoes but no flowers on the plant

I have been wandering around my garden lately bemoaning the fact that my potato plants, although healthy looking, are short and haven't flowered. They should have flowered by now so I thought I'd have a (very technical term coming) furtle about and to my surprise there were about 6 perfectly formed potatoes!

I have checked on this and found that they don't necessarily have to flower to produce a crop.

Well I never! every day is a school day
