looks good to me kevnsue! i've got Epicures in a bag, only got 5 potatoes the other night...but hoping I get more when i empty the bag! yours look fab

I'm growing Pentlans jav for the first time this year. I like waxy new potatoes you can make a good spud salad with so I won't bother growing these again. I find they go from hard to mush in seconds!

I planted,Anya,Harlequin,Moulin Rouge and Pink Fir Apples,2 of which are in flower(lost the labels so don't know which is which)Anya are 2nd earlies,so one of them should be those,which I hope to start harvesting next weekend..yum yum

Hi KevnSue, where were you growing the potatoes. Were they growing in the ground. If you got 6lbs of potatoes from 6 plants in the ground I don't think that is a specially good yield (sorry). I expect to get 3 - 4 lbs from a bucket with a bit of effort. Somebody else will be along - tattieman ?

I reckon about 6+ decent spuds a plant and your doing ok with earlies. probably about a lb to 1 1/2 lb. You can leave them longer but you will have larger potatoes...not so delicious as you rightly pointed out.

I dug some Charlottes/Estima last night and got a kilo per plant (I think that's 2lb in old money). They were planted 22nd March (ish).
So that's 3 months bang on.

Just a question : how long since you planted them ? and especially the Charlotte Two Sheds, how long for you ??

Coz mine are showing signs of early blight and I can't feel any potato yet, so I was wondering if I would get anything at all if I get them out now.... there are in since the 1st of April (chitted)

About thirteen weeks for Charlottes should be good so your about there. Dig a couple up and see. If they look ill they might not have such a good yield though.

Dug one root of charlotte yesterday and got five and a quarter pound of potatoes from the one root. Have some rocket and only been getting 5/6 potatoes per root. Will be sticking to the charlottes next year (say that every year and end up putting others in).

Got around 6 per plant here so far (Red Duke of York in pots with three seed tatties per pot). Got a Charlotte to dig up shortly also, so will edit if memory works! Had them in, chitted, since the middle of March.
