  • Please please help

I always buy my seeds from the same place every year, for some reason I have completely forgotten the name Its quite a small business and they sell small amounts of seeds for a reduced rate. I first heard of them on here and I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with the name.

    Thanks for all your help

Thank you Veggie, my stomach actually started to clench when I couldn't remember the name. Thats the one, don't know why I couldn't remember the name. I love the fact that I can try so many different types especially the tomatoes.

      A 1000 thanks to you

Its a pleasure! I like them too! I feel that Rachel is a personal friend from the little notes that she sends with the seeds. Happy growing for 2012.

and are they good germinators, veggiechicken/Susie? love the idea of these small packets. Also, wondered about joining the HSL - as well as the charitable reasons to join, is it good for seeds? any views out there (sure there are!). Don't have fellow allotmenteers etc. so hard to get hold of that crucial first interesting bean seed otherwise...

Hi BR. I bought seeds from Moreveg last year for the first time. Those that I have sown have been fine. Needless to say, I get carried away with the special offer seed collections so still have some seeds awaiting their destiny. What appeals to me is being able to try 3 or 4 different varieties of each veg for the same price as a packet of seed from some of the big companies.
Its also my first year as an HSL member, have received my seeds and admired them , but more than that I can't say! There are 10 seeds to a packet (if memory serves me correctly).

Well its not all doom and gloom my first seed order arrived today.

Heirloom tomatoes. tomatoes Black Ethiopian, Baby Yellow Pear, Red Pear and Green Zebra. Plus Dragons Egg Cumber.

Its my first time growing these so it should add some interest to the year.

I agree with VC - the smaller sized packs are ideal for me and it means I can try out different varieties. I've just ordered the seeds I need for this year from Moreveg - so much cheaper.

I love them, I made the mistake last year of buying tomato plants from Marshalls and they were terrible. I've bought myself a heated propagator So will be getting lots of tomato seeds. Like VC I've always had great results from them and its also great being able to try so many different varieties
