  • Planting out

I have been reading about when to plant out my cauli seeds and I realise they are not ready to go into the garden yet but when they are it says to plant them so the first set of leaves is level on the ground.

My question is does this refer to the seed leaves or the first set of true leaves?

    Thanks all

Rightly or wrongly, I always plant up to the true leaves. Don't forget with Brassicas, they need to be really firmed into the soil.

I agree with Bigmally, although by the time the weather here is warm enough for me to plant out the seed leaves have dropped off anyway.
