  • Planting onion and garlic

Unfortunately I have to go abroad suddenly. Family issues. I won't be back till last week in October. Will it be too late to plant onion and garlic then? Thanks in advance

Bal, not sure about the onions but you should be ok with the garlic. The usual rule of thumb for garlic is plant at the shortest day and harvest at the longest.
Hope all works out for you.

I didn't plant my garlic and onions until December a couple of years ago, and had a really good crop of both.

Garlic should be fine. Why not stick your onions in some seed trays of compost. Unless you have loads - only a ten minute job.
