I picked a shed load today, and have just spent the last hour putting them through a sieve after cooking them down, and recooking them down to make a paste before freezing into ice cube trays.

Once a week at the moment, I am doing this. Long may it continue

              Look pretty good these.

I've got pots of toms all over the kitchen windowsills and other areas. Quite a successful year
But I do hate to cook them - seems a shame to loose that wonderful flavour, into a tom sauce.

Ho hum its either that or give them away [oh no!].

I think everybody has had a good year with toms. I have had loads of cherry size and also a very good crop of beef steak ones. It might have been the coolest summer for years but it seems to have suited toms.

Ice cubes... great idea.. I've been putting the cooked down toms in freezer bags/tupperware boxes - not the most space/ecologically friendly idea.

Must say though the roasted toms then put through a sieve are so much nicer than the boiled ones!

You're right there Chris, I usually put some toms into roast when ever I'm using the oven.
