Any specific reason for the overwatering?
Either you or the weather I assume.

Guess the plants have peppers on them and I would say that repotting would upset them, but don't think the peppers would in effect drop off. Just have a hiccup in growth.

Would not making a few holes in the bottom of the grow bag not solve the problem?
The catch being that once made they would add to the overall drainage in future. Meaning if the weather caused it then you will need to make sure they do not dry out.

Would the excess water at present cause any problem? They will take water up and loose it through the leaves pretty quick.

One aspect is that any nutrient in the bag will have been depleted with the added water so if left or if holes made they will need some feed added. Thinking that drainage holes would also cause feed to disappear quicker.

Myself I would make a couple of additional small holes in the base (screwdriver) to allow it to drain quicker then water and feed as required in the future.

Do they not recommend holes in the base for drainage ? Otherwise the only way for water to "escape" if via the plant and leaf evaporation.

If the overwatering is you or someone else then cut back the watering and forget the holes.

If you overwater something, you can roll up some newspaper into a stick shape and push it into the compost. It will gradually soak up the excess. Replace with new rolled up paper till you are happy
