Does anyone grow these? Last week I took off some side shoots put them in a glass of water. Yes today they have all rooted. I have paid a lot of money for them in the past. I wont buy anymore.

    Hi

I am trying to grow my first one. I bought one from Ebay from about £1 and it was lovely and healthy when it arrived. Unfortunately I think one of the chooks decided I hadn't planted it in the correct place and she dug it up and stamped on it! It was broken so I have left the original root and a bit of the stem in the ground (where I want it!) and also put the top bit in water and it seemed to root so I have planted it in a little pot to try and bring it on again. I think they are really pretty

I really like them but find that they are not as hardy as I would like. But then we do go down to -13+

I grow them because they are so easy to propagate. After a couple of years they get kinda scraggy so I always have cuttings on the go to replace them.
