  • Pea frames- grow either side?

I have erected a pea frame out of canes and green support mesh. Is it possible to plant seeds both sides of the mesh, or should it just be one side?

It's normal practice to plant either side.......I know I always have!

A double row is the standard way to grow peas, so either side of a net is fine.

Plant either side if you are direct sowing. I tend to sow a double row in gutter which then makes it almost impossible to empty the gutter down the centre of the net, so mine are always planted to one side. It can make it a little difficult when it comes to harvesting as you always end up with some right up against the frame.
