Hi planted our parsnip seed 3 rows when they started to show we had some in the rows and others all over the rest of the plot,the ones that are out of the row are much larger could these be the wild parsnip.we are in Bulgaria,thanks.

Bulgarian parsnips? I shoudn't think they are parsnip seeds blown from your hand by the wind and just happen to be 'better seeds' than the ones that went where they were supposed to!

I like the sound of wild parsnips tho...
Last year I planted two 6m rows of parsnips and lo and behold about 20 tomato plants sprung up too...there had never been any toms near them, must have been a mix up in the seed packing...

Don't worry about what is growing between the rows. Those are weeds whatever they are. When sowing parsnips, I sow in stations 4"-5" apart and sow radishes in between. As the radishes come up quite quickly, it makes seeing where the parsnips should be really easy.Comment

I sow radishes between the rows of parsnips too. There are loads of radish seedlings, but the parsnips haven't appeared yet.Granny on the Game in SheffieldComment
