  • Parsnip target...........

As mentioned in another thread, here is a piccie of my parsnip target with my bathtub pond just behind!

Just like to get away from straight lines now and again and experiment with different planting/sowing methods!

I need to do one of these, although it will be smaller.
Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives
At grubbing weeds from gravel paths with broken dinner-knives. ~ Rudyard Kipling

You should have been a girlie, Snadger! I still say that men tend to plant in regimented rows and girlies are not so formal in their planting - but I was shot down in flames last time and expect to be again!!

Don't you worry, Snadge if you want to be Girlie, you go ahead and BE Girlie!
Just out of curiosity, why a Parsnip target? Any particular reason?

Nope...........it could have been anything really. The area was where I had a wigwam last year with French Beans!
I needed to sow parsnips and it was the next area to become available......pretty random really..........but a planned randomicity (cor what a wonderful made up word!)

I always pretend my curves are intentional as they leave a little semi semi circle at the end to plant something else.

Looks good, I just hope you don't get a squadron of pigeons doing a bombing raid on it.
Tried and Tested...but the results are inconclusive

Mine have curves even when i put a straight line across. God help me if i tried a real curve. Not sure that i'd have enough Snips if i did the target thing, the missus would string me up if she ran out of Snips.

I thought curves were always intentional?

I'm with the men on this then Veggie. Lovely straight regimented rows!! It helps that my garden is long, narrow and very straight so no room really for deviating.
