  • Parsnip predator........

Sorry for the melodramatic title but I couldn't think of a better way to describe it.

I sowed my parsnip direct into drills back in march in a raised bed and was pleased to see good germination rates, anyway I've left them to grow on so far apart from weeding between rows and not letting dry out etc. Anyway i went to thin the rows out the other day and upon looking closely at the tiny 'snips I noticed some tiny aphid looking creatures where the parsnip meets the foliage, the veg doesnt seem to of been bothered by this at all but i'm worried i'm going to lose my 1st crop of parsnips. Any ideas what it could be and how to get rid of them?

    Thanks for your help.

Edit: Just remembered some of these creatures are a creamy colour and others a greyish/brown.
