  • oops!

Well it was a lovely sunny day we decided to have a family day out to a green fair at the local park. I passed an allotment stall with plants for sale. Thinking I already have far too many tomato plants at home, I won't try just one more variety even if they are only 75p for 6.
When we got home about five hours later I went to water my many tomato plants and realised I had left the door shut all day. Well now I wish I had given in to temptation. Even the plastic trays which the pots were stood in has melted!. The leaves on the south facing side are white and papery. Some of the fresher growth looks ok but mostly leaves have yellow spots and brown edges. Any chance of recovery do you think?

Take the bad leaves off, give them a water [well, soak them overnight and then take the pot out and let it drain] and keep them in the shade for a couple of days. I've had lots go crispy this last week and most of them have revived with some tlc.
