  • Only 2 veg

If you could only grow 2 veg what would it be and why?

For me it would to be black kale and runner beans.
I have never eaten any shop bought to compare with freshly picked
organic from the lottie. I also find them easy to grow!

BNS and Onions (can I sneak some garlic in too?). I just love BNS roasted and in soups, yum, yum, yum!

Mine would be runner beans and tomatoes. I love eating both the young runners also the mature beans once they're podded. Then with Toms you can eat them fresh as well as in sauces.

        1) Kohlrabi because you can't buy it in the shops and it's easy to grow.
        2) Runner beans - I love the taste

Substitute) sweetcorn - again for taste

French beans and PSB. Both prolific, great tasting and crop for ages.

edit, oh yes and tomatoes and where would I be without courgettes and leeks?
Not fair, you can't pin me down to just 2!

Broad beans and sweetcorn for me - just an excuse to spread on the butter!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

I'd have to go with climbing beans and squash

For me - beetroot and chillies - eat loads of both and any surplus goes into two of my most popular preserves - beetroot chutney and chilli jelly / dip / sauce

Impossible to say - there's tomatoes & chillies, and beans & 'squash', lettuce & greens, onions & leeks,...favourite things change thru growing experience too.
