    onions gone to seed (I think)

    hi there, a newbie here.

    i planted some onion sets last year, no problem, they have grown quite well, but one in particular grew very quick and large, then sprouted a sort of bulb, which has turned into a spray of what look like mini onions, today the 'stalk' toppled over, i have removed the 'spray of mini onions' can i plant these? and will they grow?.

    More daft questions on there way

    These sound like seeds wmv which you can plant for onions next year

    I was going to do this with a couple of bolted onions on our lottie but I pulled them up by mistake yesterday

      Are you sure you haven't got egyptian walking onions...also called top setting onions.
