Got carried away buying onion sets, can't fit them all in. I have raised beds in my greenhouse would they grow ok in there or will it be too hot for them

Not and absolute Onion expert won a couple of competitions but my advice is the greenhouse will be too hot in the summer. At the moment the conditions in there will be ideal but soon as the weather warms up proper the onions will stop growing above a certain temperature as they can't tolerate hot conditions. Might be better sowing the extras in large pots growing them outside, don't use growbags though.

The heat is not ideal but to save wasting them you could plant them and harvest early as green/spring onions and use the whole onion and stem. I love them like this.
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

Onions absolutely love heat. That is why the exhibition growers grow theirs in polytunnels or under glass. If you think of Spanishonions, they grow in hot arid conditions and are superb

We've just been sowing some onion sets in the polytunnel at the place I work today. It doesn't seem to be a problem at all.
